I found this video on Youtube about the 2013 LPS shown at Toy Fair. The quality of the video isn't that great but from what I have seen I really like the direction they are taking this (except maybe Blythe's plastic hair and clothes but it is nothing I can't fix). I especially like how they are expanding on the pets actually being able to do things since that is what made the 90's pets so appealing.

OHMAIGAWSH I AM OVERWHELMED! I am liking the single pets and the new Magic Motion Pets but, these new Rolleroos are too much! There are already teensies, and the pets for the LPS. If they were to be sold separately as a different line and were not included with the regular pets I would feel much better.

It seems like they'll start to focus on these new Rolleroos toys. I think I'll start to collect the G3's that I missed. Well I can't complain. I hope Hasbro is able to attract younger customers with this new approach if they choose to continue with these new marbles.

Wardah, I think you hit the nail on the head. LPS is giving nods to its Kenner roots with the magic motion pets and I also think that's really exciting. And look at the box art on the new Magic Motion Treehouse! Wow!
Any photos yet? Can't make out many of the details in the video.
It looks like some of the new translucent pets up on that high shelf in the background and OMG that angelfish on the App table! it's awesome!
The rolleroos are just a cheap gimmick. They're painted marbles requiring no special molds or sculpts so they can be produced super cheap and in the footage they're only in two playsets and some double packs. It's a test market scenario like they did with the LPS babies. If no one likes them they'll go away.
Also is that ANOTHER modified whirl around playground set?
Actually I think the Rolleroos might pop out like miniature Zoobles. Of course as cute as Zoobles are they never really took off here (tho maybe that's because they never released the animated series here *is bitter*) so unless somehow they figure into the show's plot I don't see them lasting.
I have been trying to find better pics but it seems most Toy Fair galleries lean toward more "pop culture" kind of things like DC and Marvel and Disney and Monster High and MLP (because Bronies) that have large adult fandoms.
I am really loving those Magic Motion pets... it looks like they might be gravitating back to the G2 eyes with them? And those transparent pets? Gorgeous, remind me a lot of the clear sparkly MLPs in the 80s.
Rolleroos are making me wonder if we'll see any more Teensies. There looks like a lot of sets on Hasbro's site that I've never seen in stores, like the Teensies playset.
The Rolleroos don't seem as bad as I thought at first. They are faces that pop into little pet bodies. Its almost like a "Create a Pet" kind of thing. I do wish we would get a Blythe with rooted hair and real clothes in this version but I guess that is what sewing needles and rerooting tools are for.
