Thanks mouse....some of the wings on that page are freaking fantastic!! AMAZING!!
I have only done a few....you need wire (there is some at the craft stores called funwire I believe that comes in all different colors in one pack), then fantasy film (I had to buy off ebay...I bought a sample pack and it was enough in each color to do two or three sets of wings for LPS's), then a white or clear kraft glue, a candle (need the flame), scissors, piece of paper to draw your sketch of what you want the wings to look like and I think that's it. If you google fairy wings you are sure to come up with many tutorials....mouses post above mine also has free tutorials...
You can always finish your wings with fairy dust (you can buy this by the paints or sealants at your craft store), microbeads (used for scrapbooking but I could only find on ebay) and stuff like rhinestones and glitter.
HAVE FUN!!

I'm a little nervous to post here because there hasn't been posts in quite a while, but I'm not sure where else to post questions re:customizing... Customizing LPS is something I want to get into, because I customize dolls (everything from plastic, to vinyl, to resin even dabbling in porcelain). I'm wondering if a few of the things I do are just "different" or not advised. - I almost always wipe away any old paint and start from the base up. It seems like others are just priming and painting right over the old paint job. Is it ill-advised to wipe the pet first for some reason? - If people who wipe the original paint off, is there something specific you use and/or avoid? Common things in my arsenal are non-dye nail polish remover, acetone, isopropyl alcohol and acrylic brush cleaner, depending on what I'm customizing is made of. - Speaking of what they're made of: I've assumed the "squishy" heads of the LPS are vinyl and the bodies a hard ABS plastic like that of common fashion dolls such as Barbie, but if someone could confirm that, I'd be grateful. - For a matte spray sealant I use either Mr Super Clear or Model Masters. For glossing details I use Delta Ceramcoat Gloss Interior Varnish (comes in a little bottle that I just paint on). Are any of these ill-advised? - I notice the standard is to use paint on a repaint, which is understandable, but does anyone use chalk pastels or colored pencils? This is what I commonly use for dolls (if you're thinking I'm crazy, here's a tutorial explaining the process for dolls go-monsterhigh.livejournal.com/1058.html ), especially if I'm just waiting to change a smaller detail (like eye color, or add a design) instead of repainting the entire pet. - When using paint, does anyone use paint thinner to get thin, even layers, or is the standard the dry-brushing technique? (I've never used paint thinner before, because I never use that much paint, but I presume I will be using much more of it now.) I may come up with more questions later, but these are the things that have hit me so far. Thank you for your patience.

How do you swap heads? I rip them off the LPS head with all my might and wedge them back on. xD
Do you prime the pet or paint right onto it? Don't know what priming is so....
Why would you use primer? I don't.
What kind of primer do you use? Can't answer that
How do you apply primer? Or that
What kind of paint do you use? Acrylic paint and sometimes nail polish.
How do you paint the eyes? I don't even paint the eyes, I just leave them.
Any painting techniques to share? Nope.
Why would you use sealant? So the paint doesn't peel off.
What kind of sealant do you use? Amazing Goop Adhesive Sealant.
How do you apply sealant? I use a makeup brush.
What if the sealant is sticky? I wait until it drys.
Why would you use a dremel? I don't even...
How do you cut off parts? With pliers ._.
How do you attach parts? The old Blue Tack
What do you use for sculpting? My bare hands.
What sculpting tools do you use? My hands.
Any sculpting techniques to share? Nope.
Where do you buy all of your supplies? Craft stores.
What are the prices for those supplies? Ranged 50 - 80 dollars.
How do you come up with ideas for customs? I watch movies, go for walks, ect.
