Hi all, My name is Amanda & I started collecting LPS figures when I ran out of G1 My Little Ponies to collect, LOL! I am a 40-year-old certified crazy cat lady & I mostly collect shorthaired cat figures (although I always branch out when I see a ridiculously cute figure of any species). After several years of collecting I have finally found an LPS cat figure that I cannot identify, which is how I found this forum. I'm looking forward to learning lots of new stuff about LPS figures, seeing some awesome collections & meeting others who love these addictive little figures!

I haven't identified her yet, but I'm still looking. She looks exactly like #1170, but does not have the painted-on forelock. I'm wondering if she's a variant?

I was going to say that this cat might be fake, but upon closer examination, it looks just like an authentic #1170 that I own: the same shiny body, the same shape of the head, the same colors of the eyes and the same shape of the eyelashes. I've never seen this cat without the forelock on the head. It is certainly a neat find! On the other hand, when I look at all of the loose 'popular' pets that are sold on eBay Asia and then re-sold by other sellers, I see pets that don't look much different than the authentic pets we have. Maybe there are very subtle differences but almost impossible to tell just by looking at a screen. Their quality used to be pretty poor and easy to spot a fake, but with time it became better and better, unfortunately for the unsuspected buyers.

Hi, welcome to our forum! Have nice time here. I guess that someone just removed the forelock, but who knows. That's interesting.
